Sustainable Comfort, Inc. is looking for a hands-on Property Maintenance Technician to join our team in Worcester. We manage and maintain multifamily housing—our job is to keep these homes safe, clean, and running smoothly. Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle general maintenance and small to mid-size repairs

  • Clean up properties and remove trash or debris

  • Assist subcontractors when needed

  • Check on properties for issues and flag them for the manager

  • Keep things moving—work efficiently and meet deadlines

  • Use our maintenance tracking app to log tasks

  • Rotate into our on-call schedule for nights/weekends (shared)

  • Tackle other tasks as they come up

Job requirements

  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in building trades, such as maintenance, construction, or landscaping.

  • Driver’s License: A valid license with a clean driving record is required.

  • Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check.

  • Work Style: Friendly, professional, and able to work well with tenants and team members.

  • Skills That Make You Stand Out: Experience with any of the following is a plus:

    • Landscaping

    • Carpentry

    • Masonry

    • Electrical repairs

    • Snow removal

    • Property inspections

  • Attention to Detail: A passion for doing the job right and solving problems effectively.

  • Certification: OSHA 10 certified is preferred. If you’re not certified, we’ll help you get it within 90 days.

  • Languages: The ability to speak Spanish is a bonus but not required.

  • Strong customer focus and accountability.

  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and collaborate effectively.

  • Comfortable interacting with tenants and customers in a professional manner.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly pay: $22–$28/hour, depending on experience

  • Full-time schedule, with some evening/weekend coverage

  • 3 weeks of paid vacation + 12 paid holidays
