Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Regularly execute small to medium sized general maintenance projects.
• Clean-up at various multifamily residential properties in the downtown Worcester area and surrounding cities.
• Assist subcontractors as required.
• Inspect properties in portfolio for additional maintenance/construction tasks and report back to manager.
• Work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment to ensure work gets done on time.
• Track all tasks through maintenance software and update as needed.
• Rotate on-call duties with other technicians and be available to respond to night and weekend emergencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Graduated from a vocational school, or 3 years of building trade experience required.
• License to operate a motor vehicle, clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
• Possess a professional and positive demeanor in dealing with clients and team members.
• Prior experience in landscaping, building construction or property management strongly preferred.
• Specific experience in one or more of the following will distinguish individual candidates: landscaping, general construction, rough or finish carpentry, masonry, electrical, construction supervision, snow removal, and property management.
• Passion and patience for doing things correctly.
• Must be OSHA 10 certified, or able to obtain certification within 90 days of employment (SCI will pay any certification costs).
• Ability to read, write and speak Spanish a plus.

Salary & Benefits:

• Full-time schedule during normal business hours including some nights and weekends as needed
• Hourly rate of $20-$26/hour dependent on experience
